Lenard Perkins is a senior software engineer and Java architect with Tridium Inc. His industry background consists of software development for integration of Niagara AX to third-party equipment over diverse protocols on Serial, Ethernet, and Wireless networks. His recent contributions to Niagara include Niagara Video, the Developer Driver Framework, and the Niagara plug-in for Eclipse. Niagara Video makes it possible for IP cameras and CCTV systems to be integrated with and controlled from Niagara AX. It includes a comprehensive video API that permits third-party video development for Niagara AX with minimal effort. The Developer Driver Framework (available to the entire Niagara AX community) is a comprehensive API that allows third-parties to integrate diverse equipment and smart devices in Niagara AX with minimal development effort. The Niagara plug-in for Eclipse (also available to the entire Niagara AX community) facilitates Niagara AX Java development using the cutting edge Eclipse IDE. Lenard graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in computer science.
